beals alliance had a strong working relationship with the City of Monterey for over a decade. We were under exclusive contract with the City and during that time completed over fifteen projects that included parks, streetscapes, and urban design. Along Cannery Row are three projects that represent the body of work we did for the City of Monterey; including San Carlos Beach as a beachfront park, Cannery Row as an urban park, and Monterey Bay Aquarium as a destination recreation facility. To highlight on one of these projects, San Carlos Beach Park is 2.87 acres and is located at the southern end of Cannery Row.
San Carlos Beach Park is a passive coastline park with landscaped turf areas, walkways, seating areas, and vista points to the Bay. beals alliance finalized a preliminary Master Plan, developed construction documents, and assisted the City in obtaining approval and permits throughout the process. The park has been successfully transformed from an unused parking lot into an attractive park with coastal access, dramatic views, educational opportunities, positive recreation, and a restroom that reflects the character of Cannery Row.
