Memorial Stadium was renovated in 1983 to serve as the home field for both Vintage and Napa High Schools' football programs. Napa Valley Unified School District passed a bond in 2008 to finance the design and re-construction of the stadium. At that time, the facility was ranked the #4 high school football stadium in the nation due to its natural grass field, proximity of the bleachers to the field and the small town atmosphere. However, the facility was old and worn out. The District wanted to develop a plan that would meet the needs of both high schools and the community.
Beals Alliance assisted the District in the programming, design and construction of the stadium and its facilities. An 8 month master plan design process involved a 29 person steering committee who are members of the community and from each campus - coaches, alumnus and administration staff. The project includes upgrading of lights, new parking, two ticket booths, two restroom concession buildings, new team rooms, new alumni bleachers for 6,800 people, planting, irrigation, rain water harvesting and most notably, a state-of-the-art synthetic turf field for football that can also be turned into a 70x116 yard soccer field. The project was completed in the fall of 2010. The project is valued at $10.8 million. Beals Alliance is proud to have been part of a project that will last for generations to come!
